Who is behind White Horse Sound?

Thank you for taking the time to check out my work! My name is Adam Johnson and I am the founder of WHS.

Working in sound and music seemed like an unachievable goal for many, many years. To me, it wasn’t a “real” job, even though I loved it all so much. I spent around eight years working after high school before joining the Army as an Infantryman with aspirations of attending Special Forces Selection. Life had other plans and ultimately I decided not to re-enlist after my contract ended.

When it came time to use my GI Bill benefits, I applied to the Savannah College of Art and Design. To be perfectly honest I didn’t think I would get accepted. Now I am in my Junior year and have worked on an unbelievable amount of projects involving every aspect of sound, from SFX editing, foley for an animation short, dialogue editing on a feature film, and of course recording music in multiple genres.

I have been in love with music since I was 13 and played Guitar Hero 3 for the first time. That game is responsible for introducing me to so many bands that have influenced me today. Heavy music is the backbone of everything that I do, but I still listen to essentially every genre. My favorite bands include Avatar, Periphery, Archspire, My Chemical Romance, everything that Slash has ever played on, and so many more that I can’t even begin to name them all.

No matter what aspect of sound you may need help with I am always open to a challenge and working on something new. I hope that you will let me take your project to the next level!
